California College 承诺给予 (CCPG)

The California College 承诺给予 is for California residents that meet certain criteria which permits enrollment fees to be waived.

  • Waives enrollment fees (tuition) for eligible students who are California residents or who have AB 540 status, as determined by 全国十大赌博官网 & 记录.

To submit the California College 承诺给予 application, please contact the Financial 援助办事处 financialaid@naruto-mx.net to be assigned an upload button in the 金融援助 Self Service Required Documents 页面. You will then be able to upload your application using the manage button. 

The California College 承诺给予 pays enrollment fees when:

  • you are eligible for a 卡尔格兰特 or other need-based financial aid,

  • you receive CalWORKs/TANF, SSI or General Assistance (or if you are a dependent student and one of your parents receives this assistance),

  • your total family income is within the income standards* (see below), or

  • you fall into a special classification that includes dependents of veterans.

California Code of Regulations, Title V, Section 58621 requires that Butte College establish, publish, and apply a policy providing that a student who is otherwise eligible for a California College 承诺给予 become ineligible if the student is placed on academic or progress probation, or any combination thereof for two consecutive primary terms (Fall and Spring). Terms shall be considered consecutive on the basis of the student’s enrollment so long as the break in the student’s enrollment does not exceed one primary term. Loss of eligibility shall become effective at the first registration opportunity after such determination is made.

Students placed on academic or progress probation shall be notified, via Butte College student email, of their status no later than thirty days following the end of the term that resulted in the student being placed on academic or progress probation.

The following Academic Standards are applied to the California College 承诺给予 只有.

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0
  • Minimum cumulative progress rate of 50%

Students will lose their California College 承诺给予 eligibility if their GPA and/or progress rate falls below the minimum for two consecutive semesters.

Reinstatement of the California College 承诺给予

It is possible for students to have their California College 承诺给予 eligibility reinstated in the future. Reinstatement of eligibility requires:

  • Achieving the cumulative Academic Standards
  • Demonstrating significant academic improvement (significant academic improvement is defined as achieving no less than the minimum grade point average of 2.0和进度 standards of 50% in the term in which eligibility is determined). Reinstatement will be automatic and does not require the student to appeal for reinstatement.
  • Successfully appealing the reinstatement of California College 承诺给予 eligibility due to documented extenuating circumstances. Reinstatement will not be automatic and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

请注意: A student who successfully appeals the loss of enrollment priority for the same term in which the student has been determined to lose the California College 承诺给予 shall also have their eligibility restored for the same term. Students who have a verified Foster Youth determination and students receiving special category fee waivers are not subject to the loss of the California College 承诺给予.

Conditions for Filing an Appeal:

A student who has lost eligibility due to failure to make academic standards may file an appeal, known as a California College 承诺给予  APPEAL.  An appeal will be reviewed 只有 为记录 “extenuating circumstances.” 上诉 not meeting the definition of “extenuating circumstances” will not be accepted. Submission of an appeal does NOT GUARANTEE the reinstatement of students’ California College 承诺给予 . 因此, students should be prepared to pay for their enrollment fees pending the outcome of 他们的吸引力. If an appeal is approved, the student will receive the California College Promise Grant for the semester at the earliest rebill cycle following approval.

Be sure to attach the following:

  • A typewritten statement explaining your situation and why the California College Promise Grant should be reinstated
  • Documentation to support extenuating circumstances, or the need for an accommodation

Butte College offers many student support services to assist in maintaining your California College 承诺给予 eligibility. We encourage you to take advantage of services, such as; counseling, tutoring, bgi的, DSPS, and other education planning services to ensure that you maintain your eligibility while you work to meet your educational 目标.

What Happens Next?
The 金融援助 Office will review your California College 承诺给予 Appeal and inform you by Butte College student email within 4 to 6 weeks whether your appeal has been approved or denied.
