On Tuesday, April 23, the Chico Noon Rotary named Beth Dunn, Butte College's Educator of the Year. Dunn has been a member of Butte College’s business education department as an accounting instructor since 2005. In 2016, Beth became a full-time accounting instructor at Butte College, giving up a successful career in private industry because she wanted to devote herself to nurturing and mentoring students

Dunn is known for her skillful engagement of students, drawing out their interests and goals. Her years of experience as a CPA lend invaluable breadth and depth to her classroom.

As the advisor to Butte College’s accounting and finance club, Beth invests time in mentoring accounting and finance students.

“Butte College’s motto is ‘Students First,’ and Beth embodies that in all that she does,” said Butte College President Virginia Guleff. “I am thrilled that her hard work and dedication are being acknowledged with this award.”

On behalf of the Chico Noon Rotary, we congratulate Professor Dunn on being named Educator of the Year and thank her for her outstanding work.
